Ethiopia Vertical Cable Tray Price List

Vertical cable trays in Ethiopia typically cost between $20 to $50 per meter, depending on material, size, and supplier, with additional import duties and VAT potentially increasing the total cost by 30–35%.

Price Factors

The cost of vertical cable trays in Ethiopia varies based on several factors: Material: Galvanized steel is the most common and cost-effective, while stainless steel (304/316) or FRP trays are more expensive due to corrosion resistance and durability requirements. Type and Size: Ladder, perforated, and trough designs differ in price. Vertical trays may require additional fittings and supports, which can increase costs.

Local vs Imported: Locally manufactured trays in Addis Ababa can be delivered within 7–10 days and may be slightly cheaper, while imported trays from China or other countries have lead times of 45–60 days and incur import duties. Import Duties and Taxes: Electrical components, including cable trays, are subject to 15% import duty plus 15% VAT, adding roughly 30–35% to the FOB price. Some industrial zones may offer exemptions for approved projects.

Estimated Costs

Galvanized steel vertical trays: $20–$35 per meter locally. Stainless steel vertical trays: $40–$50 per meter, depending on grade and supplier. Custom or heavy-duty trays: Prices can exceed $50 per meter, especially for industrial applications requiring 100–500 kg/m load capacity.

Suppliers and Procurement

Local manufacturers: NAHMA Precision Metal Products in Addis Ababa and Brilltech Engineers offer high-quality trays with customizable options. Imported options: Chinese manufacturers are commonly used for large projects, with shipping via Djibouti port and standard lead times of 30–60 days.

Recommendations

Verify load capacity and material suitability for your project. Consider local stock for urgent installations to reduce lead time. Include duties and VAT in your budget to avoid cost overruns.
