Price List for Mesh Cable Tray Cabling

Wire mesh cable trays typically cost between $5 and $25 per meter, depending on material, size, and installation complexity.

Price Range and Material Considerations

Wire mesh (basket) cable trays are among the most affordable cable tray options, ideal for lightweight cabling such as data and communication lines. The cost per meter varies based on the material: Steel wire mesh trays: $5–$25 per meter, offering a balance of strength and affordability. Aluminum trays: $6–$30 per meter, lightweight and corrosion-resistant, suitable for outdoor or humid environments.

Stainless steel trays: Higher-end, used in harsh or hygienic environments, with prices exceeding $25 per meter. Bulk orders or large-scale projects can reduce the per-meter cost, while specialized coatings (e.g., powder-coated or galvanized) may increase durability and price.

Installation and Labor Costs

The total cost of mesh cable tray cabling includes installation, which is generally faster and less labor-intensive than conduit systems. Wire mesh trays are easy to cut, bend, and configure for curves, slopes, and tees, reducing labor time and overall project costs. Accessories such as supports, brackets, and connectors also contribute to the final cost.

Saving Tips

Use mesh trays for lightweight cabling: They are cheaper and easier to install than ladder or solid-bottom trays. Optimize tray layout: Minimizing bends and using straight runs reduces material and labor costs. Consider bulk purchasing: Large orders often lower the per-meter price.

Select appropriate material: Avoid over-specifying stainless steel unless required for environmental conditions.

Summary

For a typical office, data center, or light industrial installation, expect wire mesh cable tray costs to range from $5 to $25 per meter, with aluminum and stainless steel options at the higher end. Installation efficiency and accessory selection can significantly impact the total project cost, often making mesh trays a cost-effective choice compared to conduit or ladder trays.
