These entry points prevent external forces, such as pulling or bending, from damaging the delicate fibers inside. The cable is fastened to clamps or ties to ensure it remains immobile and maintains the minimum bend radius, usually ≥30 mm for standard fibers.

Preparation Inside the Box

Once inside the box, the outer jacket and buffer coating of the fiber cable are carefully removed to expose the individual fiber strands. These fibers are then routed to splice trays or adapter plates, where they are either fusion spliced or mechanically connected to pigtails or drop cables.
