Angle Plates Angle Brackets

How far apart should the angle steel brackets for cable trays be installed

In conclusion, the traditional guideline suggests bracket spacing of approximately every 1 to 1. When installing cable containment systems, such as cable trays. Strength: Supports should be designed to handle the maximum load capacity of trays including cables, with a safety factor. Corrosion protection: Hot-dip galvanized, epoxy-coated, or stainless steel supports are recommended for outdoor, industrial, or corrosive environments. Hanger rod: A vertical rod used to suspend. When it comes to how much spacing there should be between brackets, the general rule of thumb is every 300mm to 400mm for horizontal runs, and 500mm to 600mm for vertical runs, but this depends on the type and weight of the cable. Think of it like hanging up washing on a line, if the pegs are too. NEC Article 392 outlines the key rules for installing and maintaining industrial cable tray systems. The rungs cannot be more than 9 inches apart.
