Junction Box Sealing Materials

Choosing the right duct seal compound is essential when sealing electrical conduits, service entries, and junction boxes. Our sealing modules have removable layers enabling a perfect fit to cables and pipes of different sizes. Just peel off layers until the module fits. The built in spare capacity makes it easy to open up the seal and change. A pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Switzerland faced a $500,000 contamination incident when their junction box gaskets failed during a routine wash-down procedure. IPGel Duo provides IP68 gel protection whereas IPGel Mono provides IP67 gel protection. Water and electricity are, as the saying goes, a dangerous mix. When moisture enters a junction box, it can lead. An IP66 or IP65 rating guarantees ingress protection against dust and water jets, but it does not capture several factors that determine long-term performance in industrial environments.

400 Cable tray sealing

Base-to-dome seals on FOSC 400 closures are mechanical for ease of installation and re-entry, and cable seals feature a unique TE heat-shrink sleeve and hot-melt adhesive system that is installed with a hot-air gun. Seal cable penetrations with our modular firestop solutions, designed to create water-, smoke- and gas-tight barriers in energy and industry projects both onshore and offshore. You can review our different products below. FIRSTO fire stops are developed as a modular system which is simple to assemble around the cable run against the wall or on the floor. Working in inaccessible openings is often cumbersome. The FOSC name is synonymous with excellence in sealing, fiber management, ease of use and design flexibility. The original FOSC 100 was introduced in 1986 and has held a leadership position since that time. Materials allow for future cable pulling and routing. Ability to remove penetration seals. osure.
